BENGT BOCKMAN ART - THE RACING FORM
Get the Gallop resurfaces the Project Racing Form artworks
During the years 1983-85, the late Swedish artist Bengt Böckman (1936-2014) created 40 different artworks (lithographs and etchings) on the theme of horse racing. The renowned Swedish gallerist and art adviser Eva Livijn-Olin has now given Get the Gallop the exclusive opportunity to sell and distribute parts of this unique collection of artworks. In addition to the possibility of buying individual works, we also have a few of the impressive original art folder, consisting of a total of 40 works, all numbered and signed.
Bengt Böckman about the 'Project Racing Form' when the collection of artworks was launched and exhibited in Sweden:
The soul of horse racing is of longing, dreams and obsession. Every race is a catalyst for human emotions. Every race is born out of hard, ill-considered and ill-paid work in the conviction that this is Your time, Your race, Your Goal. In this world, you get up again after every rough landing, every too late finish, and believe that the next time, the next run, the next horse...
Old heritage and traditions, the jockeys’ colourful silks and the horses' strong, shiny, untamed bodies are signals to every race-goer of high flying dreams, unfulfilled longings and sure wins. The world is party, joy, fairground! There are always races left to win!
