During Gothenburg Horse Show I came across Gallop Magazine (loving that name..!). It’s a racing magazine focusing on the people, horses and stories in racing, so not the bets and the latest news. It looks great and has some really nice stories in there. A great pressie for anyone who’s into racing! It comes out four times a year and you can find it at good magazine shops or here.

Through the grapevine that is the internet I came across a newish brand from Belgium called Winston. Finally I say! A company that realises the need of classic looking stylish ridewear (competition wear). I’ve long been tired of the hi-tech, colourful and sporty competition jackets and been longing for the old school look before bling bling and pink piping. Check out these two gorgeous blazers! If the fit is half-good I might have to buy one. Hoping I can find them at Euro Horse during Gothenburg Horse Show, rumour has it EA Hastsport might have them in stock.

Thanks for the tip Cecilia at Hippson!

With all the different types of supplements etc out there it’s fair to say it’s easy to get lost in the djungle. I received some samples of the Swedish AktivHäst from Ägna. It’s all natural and made of green lipped mussel (New Zealand treasure) and rosehip. The mix is suppose to be great for joints and the rosehip is also a great source of energy. Unfortunately their website is all in Swedish but I’m sure you can contact them for information in english if you’re interested!

My riding gloves are coming to an end and it’s time to look at buying new ones. This usually isn’t a big thing, I just grab a pair in a basket whenever I’m in a tack show or at a show. I usually go for the colour brown but that’s as close to loyal as I am when it comes to gloves.

But when I read about the Bionic super duper gloves, that horse rider Deborah Meaden (and Theo) decided to invest in on Dragon’s Den, it got me thinking. Maybe for once I should ‘invest’ in a good pair of riding gloves. They do look pretty nice and must be pretty special considering the sassy name and hi-tech golf and tennis stuff they’ve been doing.

Has anyone tried them yet? If you want to, you can get them here but warning, they do set you back £40…

Not really. But still, imagine if all horse folks out there bought eco-friendly products. Imagine the difference we could make! In the leather production process there’s a lot to question. All those toxins that are used and in some cases (too many) the waste is just poured out, for the earth to swallow.

Well, to soothe your conscience Amigo has a range that is made out of eco-friendly leather, produced without toxic substances. Hooray! And they look great too which is like a bonus!

Get the standard bridle here for £45.

Well, feel like one perhaps. With the latest news announcing that the Global Champions Tour is coming to Kensington Gardens it’s high time you check out their products. Available from Pro-Am sports webshop and if you hurry you can catch some of the SALE items!

Also, it’s about time you start making friends with Prince William and Kate to make sure you can watch it from the comforts of a palace sofa.
